Here We Go Again

Apparently I have not updated this blog in a long time...and since quite a few of you are concerned about how thing are going, I thought I may as well fire this up again!
Let's start on a happy note - the picture you see was taken on the FIRST vacation I can ever remember Faron taking - EVER! His youngest brother's family joined us in Corpus for a week fishing, and the picture you see is Connor with his cousins (sisters).
In fact, the holiday began the week before when Kyle's family came to visit us in Houston. Then they went to see my mom in Portland and Scooter's family went to Portland at the same time, and I heard there was a huge dinner/party with aunts, uncles, and extended family before Faron and I showed up. Folks, life is short - have a party!
By the way, all the kids caught fish...although it may be more accurate to say a big redfish caught Jacey! Everyone except Connor is home now - Connor pretty much spends the entire summer fishing and playing golf with Gram and Papa.
My situation is that my cancer is growing again. It seems to be active in my bones, liver, and they found a pretty big tumor in my abdomen. At first my doc thought it was attached to my ovaries, but it isn't. I am waiting for an appointment for an OB/GYN consult and then we will all decide what to do next. it definitely looks like I am headed for chemo and I am not happy about it. God has been getting an earful.
However, I have decided that my pity party is now over. I know God can fix this if He chooses, and I know that when he doesn't choose, there is a reason for it. It just makes me tired.
I will commit to updating this for those of you who want to keep up, but think you are bothering me by calling. You are not bothering me.
If you do read this, please pray for Barbara, Dustin, Patrice, Sarah Ann, Jubi, Vivienne, Greg, Carol Anne, Francis, the family of Sydney, and the family of Brenda. These are people battling cancer or who have lost the battle - all from Portland.
Much love to you all! Kelli
